Our task was, then, to meld tradition and modernity in the website's redesign.By employing a blend of classic design elements and contemporary aesthetics, we achieved a simple, fluid, and user-friendly interface. Coimbra, Portugal, in 1999, SPACE Festival aims to explore new ways of producing and disseminating experimental and improvised music in Portugal, by promoting access to consolidated and emerging artistic projects outside large urban centers. SPACE Festival favors the passage through low-density territories, so that small and medium-sized locations can also be the stage for contemporary culture. In this 2021 edition, Caminha, a small village in the North of Portugal, was the stage chosen to bring musical experimentation and improvisation to life. While creating the image for this event, I had the chance to explore the concepts of space and musical improvisation, to develop a visual identity that represented these same themes. The particles present throughout the identity, as well as the chromatic palette of the event, were inspired by stars and galaxies, in other words, stardust. One of the most interesting aspects of the identity is the fact that these same particles are randomly generated by an algorithm, with multiple different ways of forming. The challenge was to create a visual identity for On's bi-annual global meeting, covering everything from graphics to the event's location and concept. I wanted to create a branding concept that would make this event stand out as something fun and daring, setting it apart from the typical corporate gatherings. It’s all about celebrating On’s remarkable success and forward-thinking vision. So, I decided to name the event “Onward” because that perfectly encapsulates On’s aspiration to keep moving in the same direction. With this idea in mind, I embarked on translating this vision of progress into a compelling graphic identity. What I came up with is a visually engaging series of intertwining paths that all lead forward. These pathways are bursting with a vibrant color palette, representing the incredible diversity of On’s products, people, locations, and athletes. The case study was well-received, and it got me to the final round of interviews in a very competitive process. While I didn't land the job, it's a testament to one’s ability to trust their initial instincts and ideas, showcasing what can be achieved in under 48 hours. <img width="10417" height="6946" dedicated to the incubation and acceleration of technological innovation companies, of a digital nature or that want to improve their presence and performance in this area. The space brings together individual offices, “co-working” and “open-office”, in a building with excellent conditions of functionality and comfort. An incubator is a space where companies take their first steps and plant the seed for their growth. The Elevadora logo tries to visually represent this growth within a safe space. Using the “E”, from “Elevadora”, as an icon, this growth is represented by the elevation of the “E”, which rises from a low level, rising to the center. The safe space for this growth is represented by the top and bottom rectangles, which also make the “E”. The colors that encompass Elevadora’s identity are blue and gold. Blue was chosen because it is a color associated with firmness and stability, a symbol of safe space. von Trier: A Stone In The Shoe ︎ Film Festival Identity ︎ April 2019 This project aimed to develop a visual identity for a film cycle based on the work of Lars von Trier, an acclaimed Danish filmmaker, and winner of several European film awards. This cinema cycle aims to be a celebration of all the work of Lars Von Trier throughout all his years of service in the world of Art, Culture, and above all, the world of Cinema. Lars’ films, for all their quality, are well known for their disturbing content and general controversy. The person behind the movies also reflects his work, as Lars Von Trier is an extremely controversial man, having been involved in numerous scandals. When analyzing his body of work, I could sum it up as mysterious, dark, challenging, and intriguing. My graphic approach was based on these characteristics but, above all, on the concept of modeling, because of the way Lars Von Trier can transform ideas, mix concepts, and model genres. It was from this concept of modeling that the “wavy” shapes, present throughout the graphic identity, emerged. in Paredes de Coura, is a conference on quality control practices and technologies. It presents itself as an opportunity for the development of synergies and the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the area of quality, between information technologies and the industrial sector. Recognizing that there are few points of contact between software specialists and industrial sectors, this event aims to fill this gap by facilitating dialogue and collaboration between different professionals working in areas related to the quality control of products and processes, through lectures, conversations, debates, and technical visits. For all these reasons, the choice of green as the main color was quite obvious. Green, a representative of positivity, investment, and growth, was applied along with the various graphic supports that the event required. Like the color, the grid was also an element of enormous visual importance. Appealing to the organizational aspect that Quality Camp intends to encourage, the use of the grid served to explore one of the main concepts of this event. At the same time, the logo, as expected, is also a fundamental part of the project. The “Y”, discreet but bold, is presented with 2 cuts, which intend to refer to the “check” symbol, a visual element easily recognized as a symbol of quality. <img width="2500" height="1667" This promotional pack was created to present the diversity of its artistic production.
